UPDATE ON THE INDIA PROJECT by Equilibra's press office

During these years, charity was addressed to India, in the region of Madras (now Chennai)  where abandoned children live, most of which have lost both parents or were born from prostitutes, lepers, or HIV positive parents and are aged from 5 to 17 years old. The Somaschi fathers, a religious order that dedicates itself to helping children living on the street and respecting their religion and traditions, have sent a call for help to build a reception centre. The ground has been bought and the construction project has already been presented, Equilibra will build, with its own funds, a proper home named Jerome Illam. Currently, there are 8 children waiting and temporarily living in a room with some Indian religious, who attempt to take care at least of their primary needs. The structure, which is coordinated by father Giovanni Fontana will accommodate these eight children and many more. They will be supported with love, brought up and educated, and introduced in the society with the deserved dignity and autonomy. On our website (www.equilibra.it ) you will find photos of the first construction works: the fencing of the ground and the construction of a water well. Thank you to all consumers that support the strength that Equilibra needs to continue to develop projects based on love and tangible help.
